THIS PAGE WILL GIVE YOU COMMON PHRASES AND LANGUAGE ERRORS AND OTHER INFORMATION USED BY DATE SITE SCAMMERS, WHICH MAY HELP YOU TO IDENTIFY THEM! |
||||
1) PET NAMES: Angel, Babe, Sweetie, Honey etc... Most internet date site scammers will rarely call you by your given name. They use 'pet names' almost immediately; probably so that they will not confuse you with other women they are conning! 2) MISSING WORDS: Many scammers miss out the word 'I'... They will say: "Am an honest man." instead of "I am an honest man." They also say: "Am from The State." rather than "I am from the United States." |
3) SICKLY SWEET: Within a few hours; or minutes, he will declare undying love! You are the one he has been searching for and he will make you feel so special and loved. 4) PICTURES SAY MORE THAN WORDS: How many pictures does he have? Most scam artists take their profile picture from model agency sites on the internet, and therefore only have one or two pictures on their page. Is he dressed the same in each picture? Do his pictures look 'staged' and 'professional'? Ask for more pictures, chances are his computer will have a problem and he will not be able to send you any more! |
5) BEWARE NEWBIES!: Many scammers declare that they have only just joined the site and 'stumbled across your profile.' When you look at their profile it WILL usually look as if they have only just joined the site. However, as most of you know, it is very easy to 'reset' your profile and delete information so that it LOOKS new! 6) TRAVEL: Most; if not ALL scammers, either ARE on business trips, or have one coming up. That is when the 'plan' has been put in motion. They will have told you all about their 'business' and it is usually worth a vast amount of money. It will not be long before they have SOME form of emergency, and desperately need YOUR financial help to get them out of this fix! You WILL of course be paid back in full! Yes of course you will!!! |
